About the Maker

Hi! I'm Lexi, the hands behind Montana Beerings.

I was born and raised in Livingston, MT and left for 7 years of schooling to become a physical therapist. Now I’m back, and I LOVE working with patients in the community that raised me. I also love a creative outlet!

Years and years ago, my middle sister and I had a kid’s table at the Livingston farmer’s market. I sold cupcakes and she sold jewelry, including earrings she made out of pop cans. I still have a pair she made from a Peace Tea can, and they’re easily the most complimented pair of earrings I own.  I co-opted my sister’s idea (she’s cool with it, I promise) and started experimenting with beerings years ago, as a source of sanity during Covid. This project has humbly and slowly grown since. My mission is to connect people with the outstanding breweries we are so lucky to have here in Montana.  Repping your favorite brew with a pair of Beerings is like an inside joke, where people will only recognize them if they reeeally know their beer.

It is also an important part of my mission to keep aluminum cans out of landfills.  Regrettably, only about 50% of cans in the U.S. are recycled.  During COVID, many independent breweries started using plastic labels to distribute their beer at a lower cost.  Unfortunately, these stickers interfere with the aluminum recycling process.  Montana Beerings keeps these plastics from wrecking the aluminum recycling process, and keeps the plastics out of landfills.  All of my scraps are recycled.

We are lucky to live in such a beautiful state, and it deserves to be taken care of.  Montana Beerings highlights the community, grit, and skill of local craft beer while helping to preserve the uniqueness of the 406 wilderness.

Cheers,

Lexi
